Nestled just 15 minutes northwest of downtown Indianapolis, Eagle Creek Park is more than a green space, it’s a 3,900-acre love letter to nature, adventure, and romance. With over 1,300 acres of water, 10 miles of trails, dense hardwood forests, rolling meadows, and hidden lakes, it’s one of the largest municipal parks in the United States. I’ve photographed a lot of engagement sessions here, and I still get goosebumps every time I pull through the 56th Street gate. There’s something about Eagle Creek that invites authenticity. Your Session: What to Expect

Your engagement session at Eagle Creek lasts 60–90 minutes and feels more like a date than a photoshoot. We’ll start with a short walk from the parking area, usually near the marina or Lily Lake trailhead, and let the scenery guide us. I’ll prompt you with gentle cues (“Walk toward me, don’t look back,” “Tell her your favorite thing about her smile,” “Show me your best dance move”), but the magic happens in between: the stolen glances, the inside jokes, the way he tucks your hair behind your ear when the wind picks up.
