If you've read about how I capture engagement sessions with my couples you know I like to take my couples on walks. One of the reasons why we do this is because it allows for a variety of backgrounds and locations. This corner of New Jersey Street and East 16th Street just outside of Indianapolis did not disappoint. The colors of the buildings behind this couple created a vibrant backdrop which was accented by the yellow flowers I was shooting through in front of them.
Another reason I like to take my couples on walks is because it encourages natural movements and interactions. One of the most authentic ways to capture a couple during their engagement session is to have them interact naturally and capture those interactions. This couple stood and held hands while they talked with each other. I used a long lens which allowed me to stand at a distance away fro the, to capture the moment and the image you see here is the result.
Engagement photos were so important to this couple, they really wanted to celebrate and cement each step of the wedding planning process and it was incredibly awesome to be a part of their engagement story.
