There are so many fantastic places to take photos at Garment Factory but for this dress we chose this window. Thankfully, I have a tall second shooter and a ladder so that we can hang the dress nearly anywhere to get the shot.
This was taken before I started bringing a pretty hanger to every wedding day. In all of the wedding planning so many brides don't think to bring a hanger for the dress but everyone wants the dress photographed. If you have a pretty hanger for your dress, perfect! If you don't I will never again photograph your precious wedding dress on an ugly plastic hanger. You may not have noticed the plastic hanger before I pointed it but I promise you it makes all the difference.
The detail photo of the wedding dress preserves it forever and that's why we capture it. Additionally, if I am able to capture the dress in the same room where everyone is getting ready you and your bridal party will start to get comfortable having me and my camera around.
