Groomsman at Monument Circle

I don't believe that the only photo you should have of the groomsmen on the wedding day is of the guys smiling into the camera (but I'll take that photo too). Men in motion, adjusting their cufflinks, collars, and bow ties adds a sense of purpose and creates an interesting photograph.

On this October wedding day at the Conrad Hotel in downtown Indianapolis we were pressed for time, not because of the timeline, but because rain was coming. We were able to capture this photo, as well as a few more, in about 10 minutes before we had to take cover under a nearby awning. There are many beautiful places inside the Conrad to take photos but there is something iconic about the steps of the Soldiers and Sailor Monument. It is an incredible popular spot for both wedding day and engagement photos.

The monument wad publicly dedicated on May 15, 1902 and is situated in the center of downtown Indianapolis on a brick paved circular street that is intersected by Market and Meridian Streets. German architect Bruno Schmitz designed the monument to honor Indiana hoosier Civil War veterans over and thirteen year period from 1888-1901.
