This is where the day begins: quietly, intentionally, perfectly.
Before the veil goes on, before the vows, before anyone else arrives, I sit in the morning light of the Presidential Suite at Hotel Carmichael and open the box the bride handed me. Inside: her details, her fragrance bottle, the rings, and this small, ornate mirror.
I laid the mirror on the suite’s table, placed her bouquet above it, and shot straight through the roses and ranunculus so the ring (resting on the glass like it was always meant to be there) is softly framed by the very flowers she’ll carry in a few hours. The result is intimate, dreamy, and deeply personal: a single image that holds generations of love, the promise of today, and the quiet anticipation of forever.
As your wedding photographer, these detail shots are sacred to me. While you’re sipping mimosas with your bridesmaids, I’m telling your story in still life: the lace edge of your gown catching the window light, the custom crest on your invitation suite, the way your something old nestles perfectly against your something new. The Presidential Suite’s neutral palette and abundant natural light make every texture sing, and the Art Deco touches (those gilded sconces, the marble floors) add subtle elegance without ever stealing the show.
