The key to the dip pose is for the partner who is doing the dipping to move into a slight lunge while supporting the back of the partner who is being dipped. The only thing the person being dipped has to worry about is straightening one leg. The partners can smile at each other or lean in for a kiss as the couple did in this picture.
In creating this engagement picture I shot through one of the chains that mark off the grassy areas surrounding the monument while the groom dips his bride-to-be in front of one of the fountains. The Monument is iconic to Indianapolis sits at the center of the city, making it an incredibly popular engagement session location.
