Engagement Session with the dogs

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, Indianapolis

It can be really fun for couples to capture an outfit change during their engagement session. Typically couples like to have a dressed up look (i.e. a dress or a button down shirt) and a more casual look (i.e jeans). We had already taken some dressed up photos and this couple is really into fitness together and they wanted to express that during their engagement session. They also wanted to include their fur babies and so we did! The couple likes to take their dogs for walks at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, as they were walking down the path they stopped and I captured the moment just before his lips touched hers.

Dr. Martin Luther King Park in Indianapolis is home to the Landmark for Peace Monument. On April 4, 1968 Robert F. Kennedy was set to give a speech for his campaign and instead had to address the waiting crowd with the news of Dr. Kings assaination. In his address to the crowd Robert F. Kennedy called for racial reconcilitation which led to a 1994 inititave by the Indianapolis Pacers to build a momument commemorating the speech. The monument was completed in 1995 and dedicated by then president Bill Clinton.
