Minutes after the ceremony at Finley Creek Vineyard, while guests headed to cocktail hour on the patio and we were capturing the bridesmaids' photos, the bride turned to me. She asked, “I saw this idea once: all my girls holding their bouquets around my face like a frame. Can we do it?” My answer was immediate: absolutely.
We gathered her six bridesmaids in a loose circle on the lawn just outside the tasting room, the vineyard rows stretching behind them. Each girl lifted her wooden-flower bouquet (those stunning rust, terracotta, and blush sola blooms that perfectly matched the October light) until they formed a floral halo around the bride’s glowing face. The result: her smile wide, tiara catching the sun, and every bouquet creating a soft, textured frame that makes her the undeniable center of the universe for one perfect click. As your wedding photographer, these planned-but-feel-candid portraits are some of my favorites to create. It is not just a portrait; it is a love letter from every woman who stood beside her on the biggest day of her life.
When you book us for your Finley Creek wedding, bring your Pinterest ideas, your TikTok saves, your “I saw this once” dreams. We will make them real (and probably better than you imagined). Because your wedding photos should not only document the day, they should feel like the day felt. And this one? It feels like being wrapped in love and flowers by the people who love you most.
