What is it and should you have one?

We have seen the private vow exchange become an increasingly popular wedding day trend over the last year. Couples write their own vows to each other to exchange privately before the ceremony and exchange the traditional vows in front of your friends and family during the ceremony. You can have a private vow exchange during a first look, first touch, or as an exchange.

If you are considering a moment like this for your own big day here are a few reasons you might want to, other than the pretty wedding pictures.

1. If you are writing personalized vows you are able to say them without an audience, creating an intimate moment between you and your partner and allowing you to have any emotions you may have without the eyes of everyone on you.

3. There is so much happening on your wedding day, there will be very few moments where the two of you are alone. This allows you to take your time, soak in the moment together, laugh, cry, and feel the moment together.
