The father daughter dance is a wedding day tradition. The father of the bride shares a dance with his daughter. Originally, the first dance was between the father of the bride and his daughter before he would "give her away" to her new husband. As our culture evolved couples have chosen to have their first dance with each other while still honoring the father of the bride with a dance.
This is a photo from one of the most epic father daughter dances I have ever had the privilege to photograph. Just before the dance started the father of the bride told me he had plans for this dance. This is the "before photo."
