This bride is escorted down the aisle by her dad on her wedding day holding her red rose bouquet. The tradition of a father walking his daughter down the aisle derives from a time when giving the bride away was in exchange for a dowery. While it may seem old-fashioned, for many bride's it's a tradition they have seen in tv and movies growing up that is more about love and families coming together.
