Sanctuary on Penn is a historic venue located within walking distance of the Indianapolis Public Library where the couple chose to see each other for the first time before they became husband and wife. The layout of the venue also helps to prevent a couple from seeing each other before they choose to. The bridal suite is on one side of the lower level while the groom's suite is located on the other. The two are separated by a large common area where the wedding parties, their families and guests are able to mingle.
One of the many benefits to working with my husband on a wedding with a first look is that we are able to communicate and place the groom seamlessly without accidentally letting the couple see each other beforehand. On this bride's October wedding day she took a moment in the getting ready room while Brian was placing the groom for the first look.
It was the perfect time to document her in her wedding dress on the elegant sofa.The large windows behind her add gorgeous natural light while the dark window frames and contrasting stone create lines to draw your eye to the bride's face.
